About the Role
Join our research team to explore novel approaches to scaling and securing distributed systems in decentralized environments. In this role, you'll conduct cutting-edge research, publish papers, and collaborate with our engineering team to implement your findings in our products.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on distributed systems, consensus protocols, and blockchain scaling solutions
- Design and prototype novel distributed systems and protocols
- Publish research papers in top-tier academic conferences and journals
- Collaborate with the engineering team to implement research findings in production systems
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in distributed systems research
- Represent the company at academic and industry conferences
Requirements
- PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Distributed Systems, or a related field
- Strong understanding of distributed systems theory and practice
- Experience with consensus protocols, fault tolerance, and distributed state management
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Track record of publishing research in top-tier venues
Nice to Have
- Experience with blockchain technology and decentralized systems
- Familiarity with formal verification methods for distributed protocols
- Background in cryptography or secure distributed computing
- Experience implementing and evaluating distributed systems in practice
- Open-source contributions to distributed systems projects
